The Boquete fairgrounds will host a plethora of orchids on display during the 27th annual edition of the Orchid Expo taking place in the Chiriquí highlands from Friday, March 22 until Sunday, March 31.
The Orchidaceae is one of the two largest families of flowering plants, along with the Asteraceae, with more than 20,000 registered species. Panama is home to about 1,500 species, making it one of the most orchid-rich countries in the world. Attendees will enjoy a great variety of orchids from around the country. The cornucopia hails from Chiriquí, Veraguas, Los Santos, Coclé and other areas around Panama.
