One of the most luxurious hotel brands in the world, the Waldorf Astoria, has come to Panama to provide a new choice in the growing market. The hotel conveniently located close to the city’s restaurant and nightlife zone, Calle Uruguay, features 248 rooms and opulent suites, four bars and restaurants, a spa, gym and an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
This new hotel is part of the expansion plan of the Hilton Worldwide hotel chain to consolidate the Waldorf Astoria brand in Latin America. The Hilton Worldwide luxury brand global director, John T.A. Vanderslice, said that Panama is the perfect place for the arrival of his brand in Latin America.
The building was designed by the U.S. company ba-haus/KNF and it is a blend of fresh and luminous colors, high ceilings, exotic woods, metallic ornamentation, multidimensional panels, glass and crystals. The hotel will also feature the “True Waldorf Service”, which means that every guest will have a person assigned to him as his main contact before, during and after his stay to guarantee the best customer service.
The Waldorf Astoria Panama is going to offer a variety of culinary experiences in its four restaurants and they will be created by renowned chef, Kalych Padro Alvarado. The

Peacock Alley is a sophisticated and intimate bar; Ginger is a lounge and sushi bar that incorporates ginger flavors in the Asian specials of its menu; the Bungalow Terrace & Pool bar offers a relaxing atmosphere close to the swimming pool and lastly Brio, a is casual restaurant that will serve breakfasts, lunches and dinners with an American and French twist.
The Brio restaurant will have an executive lunch menu from Monday to Friday from 12:00 m.d. to 5:00 p.m. The Ginger lounge will have a Premium Happy Hour, Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
On the fifth floor a multiple event center is ideal for meetings and social events and is designed using as inspiration a Manhattan penthouse combined with modern Latin America and the exotic environment of Panama.
