Scuba Panama is hosting an underwater treasure hunt in the Bay of Portobelo, Colón province, on Sunday, May 19. Divers, snorkelers and children will be searching the ocean for prizes donated by 30 sponsors. Diving participants must be certified and are required to dive in pairs. A treasure map will be provided, showing locations of the prizes, with the most valuable pieces hidden in some of the most challenging spots.
Equipment for both scuba diving and snorkeling can be rented at the Scuba Panama offices in the El Carmen neighborhood of Panama City or in Portobelo on the Caribbean coast.
