A new outlet store “AfG”, (which stands for All from God) has opened at the PriceSmart Commercial Center, next to the Metro Pharmacy, located on Ricardo J. Alfaro Avenue. The shop sells designer garments at affordable prices. There, the most demanding fashionista can find clothes by renowned U.S. designers like Calvin Klein and Tommy Hillfiger at 50 to 70 percent less than the original price.

AfG was created by the entrepreneurial couple formed by Maribel Gruber and her husband Franklin Arjona who after looking through several business propositions decided to sell their home and invest the money in this outlet shop. Unlike the normal stores that sell generic brands, the outlet only offers recognized labels.

Maribel, an auditor by profession and a former buyer for the U.S. chain Sears, said that everybody has the right to buy brand names at reasonable prices and this is the concept of AfG, that caters for men and women with everything from informal clothes to ball gowns. They carry most sizes from 0 to 24W. The prices start at $2.99 and the most expensive item is less than $100.

Franklin, the other half of this successful duo, is an architect. He runs the store together with Maribel and their two small daughters, Laura, 5 and Lucia, 9; who are in charge of ticketing the merchandise. “This is a family business,” he says proudly and everybody helps. With regards to future plans, the Arjona Grubers are going to expand their men´s collection with more accessories such as belts.

AfG opens Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information call 260-1970 or visit its facebook page
