Zombies take to the streets.

On Friday, October 25, Panama City’s zombie community is coming out of the shadows and taking to the streets. In an annual event presented by the web portal PortoDiao.com, participants will dress up in their best zombie-inspired costumes and meet at El Sotano club, located on Ave. Federico Boyd. Participants have the opportunity to win prizes from the television series ‘The Walking Dead’ courtesy of FOX Latinoamérica.

Registration begins at 8:00 p.m. at the “Zombie Corraol.” The zombies will hit the streets for their walk at 10:30 p.m., surprising people in the Calle Uruguay nightlife district and the banking area. Following the walk, at 11:30, the zombies will regroup at El Sotano for music by national rock band acts 2 Ton Yakama and Lolas.

About the walk

Created in Vancouver, Canada in 2004, the idea had spread to Panama City by 2006. This is the seventh annual Zombie Walk event carried out by Rob Rivera, creative director and editor at PortoDiao.com.
