The annual Panama City Christmas Parade returns this year on Sunday, December 15, taking place for the first time in the neighborhood of Juan Díaz. Starting at 2 p.m. the parade route will begin at the Rommel Fernández Stadium, ending at the Heliodoro Patiño Park with a spectacular display of fireworks.
Panama City Mayor, Roxana Méndez, announced the new parade route emphasizing the family atmosphere surrounding the day of festivities. With safety of the spectators high on the agenda of the organizers, anyone wishing to attend should feel confident and secure about enjoying this event, intended as a gift to the children of the capital.
To date, 14 floats have been confirmed, including one from the Mayor’s office, and others both from private companies and other governmental agencies. The public will also be able to enjoy more than 15 musical acts, including many high school marching bands. These will be playing Christmas themed songs alluding to the ´´Dream of Christmas´´ theme.
For everyone’s comfort, the Mayor’s office announced the placement of bleachers and restroom services along the parade route. In addition there will be city-licensed vendors providing food and beverages in strategic locations.
