The German Embassy is sponsoring the virtuosa pianist, Ana-Marija Markovina, in a free concert recital on Tuesday, March 18 at 8 p.m. at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC).

Ana-Marija’s musical career began at an early age under the tutelage of eminent pianists, including Vitaly Margulis, Anatol Ugorski and Paul Badura-Skoda. Having mastered the technical perfection of the “Russian school,” she went on to study in the tradition of the Viennese School.

As part of the cultural outreach that surrounds her visit, Ana-Marija, who presently resides in Cologne, Germany, will be offering a series of master classes to the piano students of the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Panama on Monday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 18.
