Fitness fanatics be prepared, Erwin Falconett and the Gamboa Rainforest Resort are launching Panama’s first mixed-team Fitness competition, the Battle of Titans, which will take place on Saturday, June 28 at the Gamboa Hotel.

The Battle of Titans is a competition in which teams will test their physical condition through exercise routines that cover different disciplines such as weight lifting, cardio, basic gymnastics and kettlebells.

Erwin Falconett, spokesman of the event, describes the contest as a get-together whose main objective, apart from competing, is to promote interaction between members of the different gymnasiums to give a boost to the sport and fitness community.

The six different areas covered by this training method will be undertaken by teams of six (three men and three women) without restrictions; however certain weight and movement criteria must be achieved. Anybody with the required physical conditions can participate in the Battle of Titans, provided they comply with the requirements for the teams.

The registration costs $60 per team. Those interested should request a form by writing btitans2014@gmail.com.

Gamboa Rainforest Resort is offering the participants a special accommodation package at a cost of $99 p/p + 10% taxes for an overnight stay or a day pass for $78 p/p (including tax) with use of a deluxe room. Children 6-12 pay $39. For reservations call 340-9858 or write to groups@bernhotelspanama.com.
