Sports fishing tournament for charity in Las Perlas.

Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, Las Perlas will be the site for the International Fishing Tournament sponsored by the Club Activo 20-30, Panama’s premier charity. Money raised from the event is destined for group’s main fundraiser, the yearly “Teletón 20-30.”

The tourney rules stipulate up to four persons per boat. The weigh-in will take place Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. with the trophies awarded the next day. The categories of fish that will be judged are mahi-mahi, wahoo, tuna, mackerel, snapper, jack, amberjack and swordfish (catch and release).

Inscriptions are open until Wednesday, June 25 until 5 p.m. and cost $400 per team of four. They are available at Alta Pesca, Fishing Store, Diablo Spinning Club, Flamenco Marina, Flamenco Dry Stack, and the Club de Yates y Pesca on Avenida Balboa.
