A Wilde time at the ATG

TheImportanceOfBeingEa_fmtThe Ancon Theater Guild (ATG) is staging “The Importance of Being Earnest” in a three-week run starting Thursday, September 4 to Saturday, September 6 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.

The Oscar Wilde play was first performed in 1895 and penned as “a trivial comedy for serious people.” The protagonists maintain fictitious personae to escape burdensome obligations, the result of which is a social satire full of witty banter. This production is the directorial debut of Guild mainstays, Danielle and Nick Miles, and features performances from Kari King, James Mattiace, Andres Clemente, Ramona Rhoades, Carina Weber, María Theoktisto, Adam Herzig and Malakai Riker.
