The San Felipe Foundation is hosting its 22nd annual art auction on Tuesday, August 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriot Hotel Panama. The cost to attend is $20 per person with all the money raised going to support the various social causes espoused by the charity.
Up for bidding will be paintings, objet d’art, antiques and memorabilia, all of it donated by dozens of recognized artists including Olga Sinclair, Blas Petit, Miky Fábrega and Raydel Blanco. All the work can be previewed at FundacionSanFelipe.com.
Some of the art will be part of a silent auction which will take place the same night. Perhaps the evening’s most coveted piece will be “Plegaria,” a painting by Olga Sinclair’s father, the late great Alfredo Sinclair. This emblematic Panamanian artist is being honored by the Foundation with a special mention. Master Sinclair has the distinction of participating in every one of the Foundation’s annual auctions from the start and this year is no exception.
