The V International Panama Gastronomica Fair, the event eagerly awaited by all food lovers, will take place from Friday, August 29 to Sunday, August 31 at the Atlapa Convention Center. Under the slogan “Multiple Cultures, One Identity,” the festival celebrates the melting pot of races that is Panama thanks to construction of the Canal.
In this edition, Panama Gastronomica will have the traditional Expo, open to the public, where as usual there will be a great selection of food and drink from different companies as well as some of the most recognized restaurants offering exquisite dishes.
Among the highlights of this year’s Expo is the “Gastro Pub,” a space for aficionados of beer and pub-style food. The fair will also have an area for wine, beer, chocolate, rum and coffee, among other delicacies.
For wine lovers, the Expo will feature their new version of the “Road of the Wine,” where visitors can take part in a guided tour and enjoy different varieties of wine, “gourmet tapas” and, for foodies who like to eat well, savor a great range of food and drink. At the “Patio del Sabor,” visitors will find a space dedicated to street food.
Elena Hernandez, president of Panama Gastronomica, said: “We are always looking for new amenities designed to satisfy the preferences and demands of food lovers, as well as implement initiatives to improve the exchange of knowledge among cooking professionals.”
