The Colón Free Zone is the largest free trade zone in the Western Hemisphere, and essentially functions as a wholesale zone, but visitors are welcome for smaller volume purchases. No merchandise may leave the zone with the buyer. It is sent to Tocumen International Airport to be collected by the passenger prior to departure. Purchases from different stores can be consolidated.
Note to wholesale buyers: We recommend you seek a copy of FOB, the Colón Free Zone’s annual wholesale directory and visit www.colonfreezone.com.
