The Blarney Stone, Panama’s authentic Irish pub, is hosting a special food and beer tasting event this Saturday, January 24 at 8 p.m. at which time they will unveil the latest Casa Bruja beer that will be sold exclusively at the Irish bar and eatery. The new beer, whose name is yet to be disclosed, will be paired with four dishes specially prepared for the occasion.
The new beer is a dark brown color with a white head. Its aroma is described as light toffee caramel mixed with grapefruit peel with an alcohol content of 4.4%. It starts out very malty and finishes dry with a tart touch. The aftertaste has hints of toasted coconut.
International fare to complement the beer will be served at the tasting event, including coconut shrimp, Thai green beef, butternut squash arancini along with aged cheese and dessert. The food will arrive on one plate so you can work your way through the food whilst sipping a pint.
The cost is estimated at around $15 for the food and a pint. The pub stays open “until late” and free valet parking is available.
