Colón Chamber of Commerce unveils plan for big trade fair in September

At a press conference last week, the Colón Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry revealed plans for a big commercial and logistic fair, Expo Colón 2015, to be held at the Melia Panama Canal Hotel between September 16-19.

Expo Colón 2015, has as main objectives to promote the competitiveness of products and services offered in the Colon Free Zone and expand the possibilities of increase of supply and demand, through conducting a Business Roundtable, which it developed as part of this exhibition.

Dr. Carlos M. Gomez, executive director of the Camera told The Visitor that the fair would promote the “abundant historical, natural and cultural niches” of Colón and would help to accelerate the “great potential” of the province for tourism development.

The Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry of Colón, was founded in August 1977.
