Ferry Xpress, the ferry service based in the Colon 2000 port that offers weekly travel to Cartagena, Colombia and Isla Colón in Bocas del Toro, recently announced the end of its 2015 season. The last chance to catch a ride to Bocas is this weekend, leaving from Colón at 10 p.m. on Friday, April 10 and returning 6 a.m. on Monday, April 13.
Those wishing to visit Cartagena have two opportunities to do so, Monday, April 13 (returning Tuesday, April 14 or 21) and Monday, April 20 (returning Tuesday, April 21).
In its first season, Ferry Xpress transported some seven thousand passengers to the islands in Bocas del Toro and about 22,000 tourists to the port of Cartagena, Colombia, from the start of business on October 27 last year.
Ferry Xpress is more than just a way to travel, offering restaurants, casino, bars, a discotheque, spa and a host of amenities. The company plans to reinstate service in November.
