A group of nine Panamanian coffee processors and producing companies will accompany the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) to participate in the 27th Specialty Coffee Association of America 2015 Fair, Thursday, April 9- Sunday, April 12, at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington, home of industry leader, Starbucks Coffee.
For the director of MICI, Meliton Arrocha, the delegation’s main task is “to promote the country’s coffee exports and expand the presence and international recognition of Panamanian coffee.”
This important tradeshow features top international coffee companies. At the Panama stand this year will be representatives from Café Volcan Barú, HiU Coffee, Don Pachi Estate, Elida Coffee, Carmen Estate Coffee, Café Kotowa, Hacienda La Esmeralda, Empresa Panameña de Alimentos and COCRI S.A.
For this event, the Panamanian delegation will also have the support of diplomatic personnel in the person of John Heilbron, Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Panama in Washington, D.C.
