Autograph Collection Hotels, the portfolio of independent hotels represented by the Marriott International chain, recently announced their latest addition, the 391-room Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino in the heart of Panama City.

“This year, Autograph Collection Hotels celebrates its fifth anniversary with a growing portfolio of more than 80 hotels around the world, and we are delighted to welcome Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino,” said Julius Robinson, Vice President for Autograph Collection.

Owned and operated by Hartin Trading SA, the Sortis Hotel, Spa & Casino, features 10 dining options, from the Manabi bar and restaurant, to the Score Sports bar featuring Panamanian and Asian dishes.

One of the hotel’s main attractions is its Essentia Spa, one of the largest spa facilities in the country. Essentia offers many services including facials, massages and body treatments performed in one of ten treatment rooms using the latest technology.

The space is ideal for shared enjoyment with family or friends, to celebrate a special occasion or to simply indulge in unparalleled pampering. Each room offers a different environment, with individual color, décor and scents. Fun and relaxation can be found at every corner.

Essentia Spa, with its exclusive line of treatment options, is one of the reasons for which Sortis is now an Autograph hotel, a portfolio representing upscale luxury in dynamic cities worldwide. “Panama continues to be one of the most vibrant cities for new developments in Latin American,” said Kevin Schwab, Vice President for Mexico and Central America for Marriott International. The Sortis Hotel becomes the second Autograph Collection Hotel in Central America following the integration of Hotel Punta Islita in Costa Rica in 2014.
