The second season of the theatrical production, “Cuando el Río Hable” (When the River Speaks), will be staged at the Anita Villalaz Theater, Thursday, May 28 to Saturday, May 30. Teatro Rayuela de Panamá, under direction of playwright, Jhavier Romero, are the folks behind the spectacle that will feature performances by Victoria Mendoza, Arelly Valderrama, Diana Mellado and Sara Rodríguez.
According to the director, the show “explores the concept of the disappeared through Latin American history, drawing a connection to the irresponsible exploitation of natural resources.”
The performance will blend physical and anthropological theater, dance, video mapping and live music. Musicians, Son Azul, comprising Carlos Ivan Zuñiga and Rocio Bordanea, will take an integral role in relating the story.
