The inauguration of the Panama Diamond Exchange (PDE) took place last week with high expectations. Located in the recently established Vaguil Free Zone in Llano Bonito (Juan Díaz), the PDE establishes Panama as the only country in Latin America with a diamond bourse, through which the project developers aim to turn the country into a regional center for trade and logistics serving the global community in the exchange of diamonds, gemstones, pearls and other precious items.

The event was attended by President Juan Carlos Varela accompanied by Alvaro Aleman, Minister of the Presidency, and Meliton Arrocha, Minister of Commerce and Industries, who were accompanied by Alberto Vallarino, President of Grupo Verde Azul, developer of the World Jewelry Hub / Panama Diamond Exchange.
