4th annual Central American Percussion Festival

The fourth annual Central American Percussion Festival (FEPECE 2015) brings together musicians from across the globe to celebrate the percussion in all its forms in some of Panama City’s most acoustically pleasing venues: the Ateneo of the City of Knowledge and Teatro Anita Villalaz and Danilo’s Jazz Club, both in the Old Quarter. This academic, artistic and cultural event will take place from Thursday, August 20 to Saturday, August 22 and will feature multiple performances as well as percussion and music therapy clinics.

Panamanian musician, Danni Clovis, will be honored with a special tribute for his long and influential career. Some of the artists that will be performing include Osvaldo Ayala and the Transístmico Project, Los Beachers from Bocas del Toro, Diego Galé and Jimmie Morales. Some of them will also lead clinics.

The festival is organized by Panama Jazz Production in collaboration with the City of Knowledge and the Danilo Perez Foundation, which organizes the world-renowned Panama Jazz Festival.
