Panama will be promoted as an investment destination in the “Doing Business in Atlanta” forum which will take place in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The meeting is jointly organized by American Chamber of Commerce of Panama (AMCHAM). More than 80 entrepreneurs, including business leaders, investors and representatives of global companies will take part.

Meliton Arrocha, Minister of Trade and Industry, is one of the speaker at the forum on business and investment opportunities and will present the prospects for economic growth and public investment projects developed by the government, with the aim of attracting foreign investment.

Arrocha said the government and private enterprise are promoting the country as an investment destination in sectors such as energy, logistics and financial services. It is expected that the meeting will strengthen trade ties with businessmen in the city of Atlanta to make an optimal and effective use of the Free Trade Agreement with the United States.

Georgia has been ranked as the No1 U.S. state to do business and over 70% of all U.S. financial transactions go through Georgia and Atlanta.

During his visit to the US city, the Minister will be among the guests on the CNN show “Dinero” (money), hosted by journalist, Xavier Serbia, Friday, 28 at 8pm p.m. live.

The city of Atlanta is a major logistics center worldwide, and also one of the most important economies of the United States. It has numerous global companies and it’s considered one of the best cities in the world to do business.
