Expo Hábitat 2015, the housing and construction fair organized by the Panamanian Construction Chamber (Cámara Panameña de Construcción (CAPAC)) will take place on Thursday, 10 until Sunday, September 13 at the ATLAPA Convention Center.
More than 400 companies will participate in the event that could generate $160 million in business transactions.
Under the slogan “Sustaining Panama progress”, the fair will reunite the most important companies in the real estate and construction sector, who will present their commercial and residential projects. Also, the construction industry will showcase its most powerful machinery and fine finishings.
Developers will present project in Las Cumbres, Arraiján, La Chorrera, San Francisco, Juan Díaz, Río Abajo, Betania, Pueblo Nuevo, Bella Vista,as well as in the beach, river and mountain areas and other cities in the interior.
“This year we expect around 43,000 people to come to the fair, where they can find attractive mortgage offers, technical presentations, the workshop “Do it yourself”, a business roundtable and construction safety demonstrations,” said Alejandro Ferrer, CAPAC fair organizing committee president.
Ferrer added that for the first time there will be a paper recycling project that seeks to contribute to sustainability. Rubbish bins will be posted in the Atlapa parking lot to collect paper. The fair will open on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday 12, from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 m.d to 8 p.m. Entrance cost $2. Free parking and transport to ATLAPA from Instituto Técnico Don Bosco.
