On Sunday, September 5, the Fundación Proa Panamá, and the San Miguel Febres Cordero Music Project, will present the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Colón in its fifth annual edition, to be held at the auditorium of the Universidad Santa Maria La Antigua, at its headquarters in Margarita, Colón province, at 7 p.m.

Under the musical direction of Professor Luis Morales, the Youth Orchestra will perform various works classical music.

Admission is $11, which will be donated to this group, in order to collect the necessary funds to travel to the city of New York and participate in the festivities of “Columbus Day”, an invitation made by the Panamanian Foundation based in New York.

The Youth Orchestra of Colón (SMFC, acronym in Spanish), is a group made up of young students of the San Miguel Febres Cordero school; Rufo A. Garay, Benigno Jimenez Garay, Abel Bravo and Santa Maria Academy in the Colon’s province, with the aim of safeguarding musical project of Colón youth crime.
