“The Swiss Piano Trio” will perform at the Ateneo, City of Knowledge on Thursday, October 8 at 8 p.m. This is the fifth concert of the National Concert Association’s 2015 season.

The Swiss Piano Trio, is a group with a remarkable reputation among experts and the public as an ensemble with outstanding balance and technical perfection. Their electrifying interpretations are charged with emotional power.

The Trio is formed by Martin Lucas Staub on piano, Angela Golubeva, on violin and Sébastien Singeron on violoncello. They will perform music by Beethoven, Kelterborn and Mendelssohn.

They have won several prizes and played in well known venues, like the Tonhalle Zurich; Victoria Hall, Geneva; Wigmore Hall, London; Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory.

Throughout their career which started back in 1998, the trio has given concerts in 40 countries and won the first-prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria and the Swiss Ambassador’s Award at the world famous Wigmore Hall in London.
