Rebounderz, is a new and unusual way to have fun. Trampolines, to be precise….. dozens of them, where you can have a jumping competition with your family and friends to see who is the better athlete. The trampoline arena is located in the Sortis Hotel Mezzanine in Obarrio and is open seven days a week.
However, Rebounderz is more than a trampoline arena. There is an arcade, which has more than 50 video games machines, the foam pit, a trampoline version of dodge ball or, if you prefer something more adventurous, why not try the challenging wall climbing?
Maria Lekos, one of the Rebounderz partners. said that this idea of a trampoline arena started 15 years ago in Florida, where Mike Gurley, created the franchise. “We modified it to adapt to the Panamanian market and added a game room and a cafeteria.”
Lekos said that anybody can use the trampolines, regardless of their age. “My 78 year old father uses the trampoline a few times a week and has great fun.”
The arena is divided into jump arena, foam pit and dodgeball. The price for the use of the trampolines starts at $11 for 30 minutes, $16 for one hour and $21 for an hour and a half which allows use of all three areas. All safety measures have been taken to prevent any accidents.
Rebounderz also has three challenging climbing walls, where rock climbers can hone their skills, but there is help at hand for beginners.
The games room has a variety of arcade games. Players just buy tickets and if they do not use all of them, they can come back another day and continuing playing.
The cafeteria sells pizzas, nachos and snacks, as well as soda, water and iced tea. The entrance to the facilities is free and it opens Monday to Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Friday 2:00 p.m. to midnight; Saturday 11:00 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
