One of the most unforgettable experiences your child will have is to spend the night camping with his/her friends in a museum. Do not lose the opportunity to enroll them in this summer activity, “Fun Museum”, which will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Panama. The total cost per child is $100.
The activity is programed to last from Tuesday 19 to Thursday, January 21 for children between the ages of 10 to 12. The following week the camp will be directed at children between 6 and 9 years old and on Tuesday 2 to Thursday, February 4 children ages between 6 and 9 can assist the camp.
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) is the only Museum of Contemporary Art that exists in Panama. It is a non-governmental organization (NGO) as well as a non profit organization that exists on the personal contributions.
The MAC Summer Camp is a series of workshops for the summer. Among the subjects the kids will learn are: ¿What is a museum? ¿What do you do in a museum? ¿What is MAC Panama? Other subjects such as abstract expressionism will be touched on. They will also get to know artists such as Alfredo Sinclair and Jackson Pollock.
The children will enjoy three days of fun and learning, starting on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until Thursday midday, spending the night at the museum.
All the funds raised will be used to fund four scholarships for children who participate in the educational program “MAC Crece”.
