Azuero museum expo. The Azuero International Fair is the showcase that clearly shows everything that this peninsula has to offer. This year the area’s history has been highlighted by the National Institute of Culture which has mounted a very interesting exhibition with pieces from some of the most important museums in the Azuero region.
“La Ruta de los Museos de Azuero” (the Route of the Azuero Museums), as the exhibition has been called, has culled the best pieces from the museums of Belisario Porras in Las Tablas, the Casa Museo Manuel F. Zárate in Guararé, the Museum of Nationality in Villa de Los Santos, the Fabio Museo de Herrera Rodriguez in Chitre and the Museum of Religious Arts in Parita.
This initiative marks the beginning of an intense promotion that INAC is implementing for museums nationwide as part of the celebrations for International Museum Day on Wednesday, May 18. In total there are 18 museums under the administration of INAC, and a budget has been allocated for the promotion of pieces of great historical and cultural importance
The temporary exhibition, “The Route of the Azuero Museums”, will be on display at INAC’s pavilion at the International Fair of Azuero until Sunday, May 1. For more information and events to be held in museums under the administration of INAC log on to www.inac.gob.pa/Servicios/Museos
