Holidays in Panama campaign. The Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) has launched the campaign: “Holidays in Panama” (Vacaciones en Panama), aiming to promote tourism in the interior and the Capital City.
This campaign seeks to motivate the residents from the interior to come and visit attractive and recreational sites in Panama City and in return, create interest in the people who live in the capital to travel to the provinces which are full of exotic natural beauty and historical points of interest
The destinations that are being promoted are: Bocas del Toro, Azuero and Chiriquí with places like Casco Antiguo, Pedasi, Playa Venao, Boquete, Bambito, Boca Chica, Taboga and Contadora.
Travellers can acquire their packages to the aforementioned destinations beginning in May. They include plane tickets, hotel, breakfast and taxes for $299 (3 days/2 nights) per person.
During the campaign which will be promoted on television, radio, billboards, social media and seminars directed at travel agencies the slogans used will be: “Ven pa’ Panamá (Come to Panama), Ven pa’ Chiriquí (Come to Chiriqui), Ven pa’ Azuero (Come to Azuero)…
“The idea is to promote the country as a destination for the whole family, to go shopping, enjoy the beach or mountains, savor the gastronomy, experience nights of fun and all the world of adventures that the country offers,” said Gustavo Him, ATP administrator.
Packages can be bought from five authorized wholesalers: Air Panama Viajes(Casco Viejo and Boquete branches); Allegro Tours ( Panamá, Chitre and David branches); Pesantez Tours, Viajes Arco Iris and Viajes Regency with branches in Panama.
