Panama Indian Festival 2016. On Saturday, June 4, the Cinta Costera will witness the 50th anniversary of the “Milenaria Oriental Festival” during the Festival of India in Panama, 2016. The event will be held in the “Mirador del Pacifico” amphitheater from 5 p.m.
The celebrations will begin with the traditional Indian parade of floats on Saturday at 3 p.m. It will depart from the parking lot at the Hotel Miramar Intercontinental and follow Balboa Avenue as far as the amphitheater, where the festival is being held.
The Festival of India was first held in Panama in 2005, and this year will feature artistic performances typical of Hindu culture, theater exhibitions, an Indian banquet, lectures, workshops and several stands with different products and crafts.
On stage different dance shows and live traditional music from India will be presented, by national and international artistes. In addition, attendees can enjoy a variety of dishes of Indian cuisine free of cost.
The“International Society for Krishna Consciousness” (ISKCON), will share its roots and spiritual, cultural, scientific, philosophical, literary and gastronomic beliefs. Admission is free.
