Chorrera Yo Reciclo fair . For the first time since it began five years ago, the Recycling Fair “I Recycle” will be held in Panama West, on Saturday, June 18 at El Libertador park in La Chorrera, from1 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring over 100 activities and stands with different products, concerts, gastronomy, workshops and lectures.
This time the fair will feature several artistes on stage such as Kam Williams and Tocando Madera, plus presentations by the folk ensemble “IPTCH” and the dance group “Movimiento Valor y Vida”. This year, the organizers especially sought out local craftsmen and artistes from Panama West so that attendees can meet talent from that area.
There will be workshops for all ages such as a paint workshop by the Maria Luisa de Moreno International Foundation, a knots and lashings workshop, and a (Recycled Materials) workshop, as well as talks.
One of the most attractive activities of this fair will be “Riskland” an initiative driven by UNICEF which shows children what to do, how to prevent and how to react to natural disasters. This activity will be directed by the Proyectos y Seguridad Panama (PROYSEG) group.
Fairgoers can enjoy a an area for relaxation featuring massage tables, refreshing essential oils, moisturizing juices and fans to cool down.
Along with all these activities, the fair will also have talks about the importance of donating blood and, of course, the gathering of materials for recycling.
Admission is free and open to the whole family. For more information, driving directions, and the full program of the fair visit robamorena.com/yomereciclo
