Soloists of Vienna in Panama. The renowned Soloists of Vienna group will perform with Polish soprano, Marta Poliszot, on Thursday, July 7, at the Ateneo Theatre in the City of Knowledge from 8 p.m. This is the third concert of the 2016 concert season of the National Concert Association.
The group is made up of three musicians from some of the most famous orchestras in Austria. Michael Holzman, is a renowned cellist who studied and completed his Master of Arts in the Mozarteum in Salzburg. For many years he has been part of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ivan Kitanovic, from Yugoslavia, is a double bass player who studied music at the University of Music in Belgrade. He has won several competitions and since 2002 has also been part of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, where he serves as principal bass.
The last member, Michael Weingartmann, is a talented pianist originally from Linz, Austria, who also went to the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the University of Music in Vienna. He was soloist in Beethoven’s Concert No. 4 of with the Simon Bolivar Orchestra and has played chamber music with musicians from Vienna’s Symphony and Philharmonic orchestras.
Soloists of Vienna, will accompany the soprano, Marta Poliszot, from Poland, who has recently sung on the best musical stages of Norway and Austria, playing important characters like “Suzanne” from “The Marriage of Figaro” “Norina” in “Don Pasquale” and “Adele” in “Die Fledermaus”.
In this concert, the Soloists of Vienna, along with Marta, will interpret famous pieces of classical composers such as Schubert, Mozart, Schumann, Koussevitzky and J. Strauss.
Tickets for this concert will cost $5, $25 and $45 and are on sale at Allegro Galleries, Office of the National Concert Association, KROMYA Design Store in Costa del Este and at the box office the day of the event.
