Carlos Vives Rocks Colombian Style. Carlos Vives, the Colombian singer and songwriter famous for combining Vallenato, Cumbia, Rock and Pop, will make the Panamanian public fall in love with him again on Thursday, July 21 at the Islas of the Atlapa Convention Center. The concert will start at 9:00 p.m. and the troubadour will perform some of his hit songs like ‘La Bicicleta’,’Voy a olvidarme de mi’and the classic ‘La Gota Fria’.
Chiriqui fans will also be able to enjoy this two-time Grammy winner on Saturday, July 23 at the David Fair Ground, where for the first time, Vives, who is also known as the “King of the Vallenato” will entertain them from 9:00 p.m. in his concert under the stars.
Carlos Alberto Vives has created his own brand of music with a unique mixture of the traditional and the modern. He is famous in Latin America, having won the prestigious Latin Grammy Awards nine times. He was the first Colombian to be recognized with a Grammy by the American Recording Academy.
