Chiriqui Business Forum 2016. The fourth edition of the Chiriqui’s Business Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Chiriqui, will take place from Tuesday, 23 to Thursday, August 24 in the city of David.
The business conference is a place for domestic producers and companies from different sectors of the economy to offer their products and services to international buyers. The meeting will be attended by representatives of companies in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Uruguay, México, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile and El Salvador.
This year it is expected that the equivalent of 12 or 15 million US dollars in short and medium term sales will be generated. The organizers expect the more than 130 companies already registered to man a total of 111 trading desks, generating 5,460 business meetings.
In 2015, Costa Rica sent a delegation of 21 companies from different sectors. Also there were businessmen from Kosovo, Colombia, Ecuador, United States and Guatemala.
Companies in such sectors as tourism, agriculture, food processing, distribution, banking and finance, automotive, machinery and heavy equipment will participate as well as those in specialized services such as insurance, consulting, training and communications. Ten certified buyers from nine countries in Latin America and the rest of the world will also be there.
Companies in the tourism sector will find interesting opportunities, thus helping to position Panama as one of the best tourist destinations in the region.
The event will take place in the salons of the International Fair of David. There will also be an exhibition area and training room, both with free admission for high school students, university students, teachers, and professionals from different sectors, employers and employees of national companies.
