The Theatre Guild of Ancon will hold auditions for its new play, “Christmas Stopping” which will be presented at the theater during the month of December. Auditions for this play, will take place on Sunday, September 11 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, September 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the premises of the theater.

This story is about “Grant” a middle-aged psychiatrist who intends to spend Christmas with the minimal expense or effort. He omits any Christmas celebration on his agenda. He refuses to decorate his home or make gifts and refuses to continue the charade of the existence of Santa Claus in front of his 28 year old daughter.

The story evolves when the elves and santas working at the mall hold a protest outside his home, triggering trouble with his family, who take their bags and leave him alone. This is when Grant is visited by the ghost of Christmas Future, who shows him the stark reality that awaits him.

The organizers of the play are looking for actors to play the characters of: “Grant” a man between 45 and 68; “Alice”, a therapist connected to nature, to be played by a woman between 35 and 50 years; “Baxter” a teenage college student who is between 20 and 30 years and “Meredith” a girl with nothing but a good sense for fashion, played by a young woman in her late 20s.

The Ancon Theater Guild is located on Gorgas Street in Ancon next to the DIJ offices. For more information visit
