Panama Oktoberfest Spots. Oktoberfest, as its name implies, is a celebration which takes place in October every year in the Bavarian city of Munich. It began in 1810 and has since spread throughout Germany and Europe until now it one of the biggest celebrations worldwide with annual visits of more than 6 million attendees.
Panama, thanks to its cultural diversity, has adopted this celebration. Naturally not only German beers are served but in October, several theme parties take place. A few of them are listed below.
Oktoberfest at Rincon Aleman
“El Rincon Aleman”, Panama’s authentic German restaurant, located on 68th Street San Francisco, will offer special promotions. On Friday, September 30, they will have typical German music by “Hans and Fritz” and serve sausages and an official “Paulaner Oktoberfest” beer for $15.
On Saturday, October 1, clients who buy two “Paulaner Oktoberfest” official beers, will get a “Paulaner Oktoberfest” pint glass plus complimentary anniversary schnapps.
The activities come to an end on Monday, October 3 with the celebration of the National Day of Germany with a 25% discount on the entire menu all day, along with traditional German music. There will be different deals every day as well as typical German competitions and many prizes.

The “Real Oktoberfest” by Paulaner and
At the Oktoberfest in Munich, one of the most popular beers is the Paulaner Beer known as “Winzerer Fähndl”. This legendary beer has been brewed since 1818 and this year it will be available for the first time in Panama especially for this celebration. The ‘Real Oktoberfest by Paulaner’ will take place in the Las Totumas hall in the Atlapa Convention Center on Friday, 14 and Saturday, October 15.
It will feature live music, German food, such as traditional sausages to accompany beer, also traditional German games so that attendees can experience an authentic Oktoberfest. Only “Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier” will be served. Paulaner Sales Director, Dirk Wagenführer, will inaugurate the event
The schedule of the festival will be from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on both days, the cost of admission is $30 for the “Day Pass” which includes entrance to one day of the event and a liter of beer, $50 for the “Full Pass” which includes entrance to the two days of the festival plus two liters of beer; and $250 for the “VIP Table” which includes ten tickets for one day of the event plus ten liters of beer and ten snacks to share.

Panama Oktoberfest Spots: Good Pints and La Esquinita
To honor the traditional German beer festival month, the “Bodega de la Esquinita” also will celebrate in collaboration with the blog ‘Buenas Pintas’. The event will take place on Saturday, October 1 at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of “La Bodega de la Esquina”, located on Avenida Arnulfo Arias Madrid in Balboa, Ancon.
The party will feature live music, food tasting and traditional games. In addition, the best known local micro breweries will be present, plus a wide range of imported German beer
