This Saturday, September 10, for the fourth consecutive year the “Red Bull Batalla de Los Gallos”, will take place in Panama City. This is the largest freestyle Spanish rap event in Latin America. The national final will take place at Latitude 47 Bar, located on Calle Uruguay from 7 p.m.

“La Batalla de los Gallos” is a freestyle competition that brings together the best representatives of the rap genre to battle for the title ‘Best Improvisational Rapper’ in the country who will then have the opportunity to represent Panama in the international final to take place in Lima, Peru, on Saturday, November 12.
16 local rappers have got through to the final round, three of which were chosen in heated contested qualifying rounds. These are “Woody”, “Diamond 507” and “Jay King C3”. The other 13 competitors were chosen through unedited improvisation videos that were uploaded to the official website of the contest and selected by a specialized jury.
The jury that will decide the winner of this final round is formed by some of the most outstanding national and international artistes from the rap scene such as as Panamanians, “Kenny Man” and “Bigg Timme” and Mexican “Eptos One”, who won the 2007 “Batalla de los Gallos Mexico” and who now has become a respected figure in the world of international rap.
