The 2017 Panama Calendar. The “Panama Calendar 2017” is out for sale with the theme “Dances of Our Ethnic Groups” This issue will be the last after 31 years of publication.
The calendar includes national days and holidays, cultural activities, religious holidays, Jewish dates, pay dates of the Panama Canal Authority, national days of countries with embassies in Panama, zodiac signs, national holidays of the United States and much more information. The calendar also provides Carnival and Easter Sunday dates until 2027.
This calendar, through its 31 years of existence, has supported several charities with funds derived from sales. These institutions are reported on the cover in each edition.
Through the calendar, editors Alonso and Carmela Gobern have pursued their goal of providing useful information in English and Spanish about Panama, its activities, celebrations, fairs, exhibitions and other events held throughout the year. The Gobern couple has spent 31 of their 40 years of marriage in promoting Panamanian culture, through the “Panama Calendar”, the digital newspaper “Panama CyberSpace News” and organizing tours throughout the Republic, as well as transits through the Canal.
