The arrival of this first flight is the result of the joint promotion agreement signed for the campaign “Destination, Panama 2017- I love Panama (“Destino Panamá 2017-Te quiero Panamá”). The document was signed this year between Air Panama and the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), to bring charter flights from Costa Rica and Colombia to Rio Hato, between February 1st and October 31, st 2017.

The ATP administrator, Gustavo Him, said that although the main objective is to sell the beaches, it also seeks to show the enchantment of the country’s forests and mountains that can be found in “El Valle de Anton” and other nearby communities in the Cocle province.

Air Panama will have three flights a week to Scarlett Martinez Airport (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) departing from San Jose, Costa Rica,. This route will be active until August 2017.
