To complement the anniversary celebration, on Saturday, August 12, the MVC will celebrate one of its “Magical Nights”, where history comes alive with actors playing the roles of the men and women who played an important part in the construction of the Canal.
This event will be free. In addition to the play, there will be live music and a fireworks display among other attractions between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, August 15, the MVC will give sweets and balloons to the public, who will also be able to visit the four exhibition floors, including a new 3D movie and a new transit simulator with the latest in audio and image technology that gives a real experience of sailing through the interoceanic waterway.
The Visitor Center has terraces and observation decks that allow a bird’s eye view of transiting ships and a restaurant, Atlantic & Pacific Co, which serves dishes for all tastes.
