EXPOCOMER, the trade fair

EXPOCOMER, multi-sector trade exhibition, which focuses on five main groups: food and beverages, textiles and accessories, construction and technology and services, will take place at the Atlapa Convention Center until Saturday, March 3, when it will open to the public from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets cost $15.

This thirty-sixth version of EXPOCOMER has a total exhibition area of over 14,000 square meters, and the participation of over 650 exhibitors representing 37 countries, distributed in more than 850 exhibit booths. The main speaker of the event is the President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís.

The contacts generated by the fair allow local entrepreneurs to establish alliances or to become distributors or commercial partners of the companies participating in the fair.




The organizers explained that one of the biggest delegations will be from China, with around 160 exhibitors. The president of the EXPOCOMER Organizing Committee, Jorge García, said that Taiwan is also taking part in the fair this year, and Belize and Singapore will participate for the first time.

In addition to being a commercial exchange platform, EXPOCOMER 2018 has other events such as the National Business Forum, in conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce through Proinvex which seeks to promote contacts with local exporters and buyers who come to the fair every year with the support of commercial missions from each country. The forum entitled, “The Future of Panama is Now”, will analyze the international commercial projection of the country. The Second National Agricultural Symposium will take place within the framework of the fair, on Thursday, March 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
