A fair for the Afro Caribbean heritage
The Colón National Fair has taken place since the 60s and showcases the great cultural heritage that this province, located on the Atlantic coast of Panama, possesses. The event will be celebrated in the fairgrounds in Buena Vista, from Wednesday 4 until Sunday, April 15.
Her Majesty, Grace Beatriz Alfonso, will preside over the festivities which include agricultural exhibits, popular dances, folkloric presentations as well as giving local artisans and entrepreneurs the opportunity to offer their products and services.
In addition to the exhibits there will be sports competitions and conferences with a range of subjects, such as how to create a business, health care and the tourist attractions that the province boasts.
Buena Vista is located between the towns of Nuevo San Juan and Limon at one side of the Transisthmian Highway and is easy accessible from Panama City. It is a great event to get to know Colon’s traditions and culture.
