The Azuero International Fair is the main commercial, agricultural, cultural and touristic showcase of the central provinces. This event happens every year in La Villa de Los Santos, Los Santos province and this year will take place until Tuesday, May 1st. More than 600 exhibitors offering goods and services will take part.
One of the innovations of the fair this year is the installation of a photovoltaic plant to reduce the cost of electricity andserve as an example for the businesses, schools and universities of the area, encouraging them to adopt renewable sources of energy.
The fair has other attractions such as folkloric presentations from dance troupes from all over the country, famous national musicians like Osvaldo Ayala, Emilio Regueira and Los Rabanes, fair rides, cavalcades and much more. Last year more than 250,000 people attended the fair. Entrance costs $3 for adults and $1.50 for children and pensioners.
