Aging population

The world population is aging and Panama does not escape from this reality. According to the 2010 Population Census, almost 10% of the Panamanian population belongs to the third age group. That is, 335,915 people. This figure is going to rise, because a study made by the National Institute of Census and Statistics (INEC) revealed that it is expected that the percentage of the adult population over 60 years of age will increase to 1,351,367.
